Exercise 17: Blog 2

1. When using a search engine, a user finds that the information he needs is easier to locate and he has quick access to almost any form of information on the web. The disadvantage, though, is that without well thought-out search phrases, users get all sorts of random information mixed with the said topic.

2. A meta search engine is a search engine that searches through other search engines and databases, while an individual search engine searches from it's own database.

3. It is appropriate to use a search engine when a user is searching for broad information on a certain topic, while directories are used to search for specific information on topics.
